Fexofenadine 120 mg tablets
What is fexofenadine used for?
Fexofenadine is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as skin rash, itching, redness, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.
Do not take fexofenadine.
• If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions
Tell your doctor about all your health conditions, including:
• If you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
• If you have kidney disease.
• If you are 65 years of age or older.
This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid driving or performing other tasks or activities that require alertness until you notice how this medication affects you.
Possible side effects
Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is not known.
Common side effects:
• Headache
• Feeling sleepy
• Nausea
• Fatigue
Other medications and fexofenadine
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take.
• Antacids containing magnesium or aluminum may affect the effectiveness of fexofenadine. Separate them by two hours.
How to take fexofenadine
• Take this medicine as directed by your doctor.
• Do not take this medicine with fruit juice.
• One 60 mg tablet every 12 hours or one 120 mg tablet once daily.
How to store fexofenadine
• Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).
• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date shown on the carton.
